how would you kno what talents to choose whats the benifet what will the guild gain from it what will any one gain from it? i will answer your questions in a monent."10 hours later" beastmastery is the very very best for lvling and pvp because you dont have any casting spells so thierfor you kill faster and easier ps. dont listen to what lightofdeath says about hunters he will make u pick marksmen from level 10 soooo not worth it he knows nothing about 30+ hunters he only have a lvl 20 to 29 hunter marksmen how ever is apparntly best for groups of 40+ because of Trueshot aura good for balance druids i must say survilal however isnt much use on its own so pair it with beast mastery and be a hybrid like me folks btw the stats u may need is spirit intellect agility stamina ok folks cya

Total disagreement with you here.. and I'd know, I have a 70 hunter. Marksman / Survival hybrid, to be exact.
There is a fairly large difference between the different talent trees you can choose. Many people 'agree' that beastmastery is the faster levelling tree, because you can rely on your pet more, but I personally disagree. I had a hunter buddy with me, who played almost as much as me, but he levelled a lot slower, despite him being beastmaster. Beastmasters have strong pets, and some abilities that increase the damage of the hunter while the pet is alive, but the hunter himself does almost no damage compared to a Marksman. Marksmanship is all about maximizing damage, being useful in groups (not just solo quests) and paired with a tanking pet (boar is pretty good) you'll outdamage and outlevel a Beastmaster hunter very-very-very quickly. Not to mention that unlike Beastmastery, Marksmanship is also useful in PVP. Skills like Scatter shot and Silencing Shot can make casters virtually useless, and the insane crit % and extra damage from crits means you can nuke clothies down before they see what's coming.
You need the Survival hybrid (at 70ish) because of the added length of traps. You can freeze-lock a mob in an instance (or ofcourse, outside an instance) indefinitely if you time it right, which means your team will be fighting one less mob. Not to mention doing a LOT more damage to bosses, not having to rely on your fragile pet to do the damage.
Now a comment about the stats a hunter needs:
Number one: Agility. Agility will add armour (nearly useless), Attack Power (you like this) and Crit Chance (which you love). High agility means you'll do more damage, faster, and have higher crits.
Number two: Intellect. Since you'll be choosing Marksmanship due to it's sheer superiority, Intellect will add the following things: 45% of intellect will be added to Attack Power, so more white and special damage. You'll be getting extra mana, which is always lovely for a semi-caster dps class, and once you get to level 67, the higher your int gets the higher your mana regeneration gets with Aspect of the Viper (the only aspect you'll use after that level anyway).
Number three: Stamina. You can never have enough Stamina, but I didn't put it on two for two reasons: - Almost everything adds Stamina - Stamina enchants are cheap and easy to find - You're better off doing 100 extra damage than being able to survive more hits. After all, in an instance you won't be taking damage anyway (that task is reserved for off-tanks and main tanks), so you could pretty much survive with relatively low Stamina.
These are really the only important stats to a hunter. Strength is absolutely meaningless, since melee attack power = 100% useless. Spirit is also 100% useless, since spirit-based regen doesn't continue while casting, and a hunter is ALWAYS casting something manabased. For instance the famous autoshot-steadyshot-autoshot rotation, which will maximize DPS.
In short, Void is wrong and I am right, and I have the Hunter to prove it. =D
